Every fight has a face.
Someone who thought their words,
Could weaken, could hold me down,
For a few rounds and sometimes.

They succeeded, but I got back up
Body bruised, heart bleeding and,
Walked away, spirit intact, still undefeated.

Be the love you never received.
Be the acknowledgement you never got.
Be the listener you always needed.

Look at the younger versions of yourself with you
And give yourself what it is you always needed.

That is the first step of healing.
If you want others to see you
You must see yourself.

Let the version of yourself that you were, teach you.
Let the version of yourself that you are currently, comfort you.
Let the version of yourself that you are becoming, inspire you.

You are the version that you need and needed to be
In every phase of your journey.

Your soul knows when something is real,authentic,and true.
No matter what anyone else tries to say or persuade you of,
The truth will always feel different.

You can't fake it
Your heart knows when something resonates.

I'm slowly learning that even if I react,
It won't change anything,
It won't make people suddenly love and respect me.

It won't magically change their minds.
Sometimes it's better to just let things be.
Let people go, don't fight for closure.

Don't ask for explanations,
Don't chase answers,
Don't expect people to understand where you're coming from.

I'm slowly learning that life is better lived,
When you don't center it on
What's happening around you.
Center it on what's happening within you instead.
Work on yourself and your inner peace.

We must let go of things we are not responsible for in others,
In order for peace to reign in our lives.
We give accountability back to them for their choices in life
While freeing us from the unnecessary stress of things we have no power to change.

You can rise up from anything.
You can completely recreate yourself.
Nothing is permanent.
You're not stuck.

You have choices.
You can think new thoughts.
You can learn something new.

You can create new habits.
All that matters is that you decide
Today and never look back.

One day everything will fall into place.
You will finally understand that after
All the hardships and battles you have gone through,
All of it was leading you to what you were searching for.

People will teach you how to love by not loving you back.
People will teach you how to forgive by not apologizing.
People will teach you kindness by their judgment.
People will teach you how to grow by remaining stagnant.

Pay attention when you're going through painful and mysterious times.
Listen to the wisdom life is trying to teach you.
Be the reason someone stills believes in magic, truth, authenticity and compassion.
As well as loyalty, courage, and love that doesn't have an agenda.
